Thus, it was only a natural fit for the engineers of the iFLY15 to team-up with Tenron, the most innovative company in the New Materials sector. Its product Tenron, also used in the aerospace industry and now available as an option for the hulls of the iFLY15, was exactly what the iFLY15 team was looking for: offering its customers a way to experience the thrill of the existing iFLY15 but in a different environment.
The iFLY15 – Tenron is the result of 1 year of development. Like any iFLY it is born for high-performance. But thanks to its hulls of the new high-tech material of unmatched robustness, it is also perfect for adventure sailing.
To prove its sea worthiness, two passionate sailors went for a great sailing adventure aboard the iFLY15 – Tenron up the rough Norwegian coast with its thousands of rocks and reefs. More than 500 miles from Oslo to the Lofotes Islands, without assistance, staying overnight in the wild and carrying the boat to remote beaches … It was a true milestone in sailing for such a foiling catamaran.
The hulls of the iFLY15 – Tenron are recyclable (very different than conventional high-tech boat building materials), bringing adventure sailing and nature together in harmony.
To underscore the positive impact, this iFLY15 – Tenron sails under the name of Geir, the Great Auk, who according to the legend, blessed and healed the seas.
